Executive Director

The California Central Coast Water Authority (CCWA), with the assistance of CPS HR, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead the organization through California’s increasingly complex water future. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned, politically astute water leader with deep knowledge of the State Water Project and a demonstrated ability to navigate the nuances of California’s water policies, politics, and partnerships.

Water Treatment Plant Operator or Water Treatment Plant Operator Trainee

The Central Coast Water Authority (CCWA) is seeking applicants for the position of Water Treatment Plant Operator, and will consider a Water Treatment Plant Operator Trainee. We are looking for a team-oriented individual committed to learning, innovative problem solving and who is positive, approachable and has the utmost integrity to join our excellent staff.

The Operator or Operator Trainee will be based in the CCWA Water Treatment Plant located in Shandon, California.

Salary for the position is commensurate with work experience and California Drinking Water Operator Certification Program (DWOCP) Certification level, as follows:

DWOCP Treatment Operator Grade 1 Certificate: $87,201 - $106,385/year

DWOCP Treatment Operator Grade 2 Certificate: $91,026 – $113,462/year

DWOCP Treatment Operator Grade 3 Certificate: $97,082 - $118,440/year

CCWA offers a great working atmosphere and a well rounded benefit package for eligible employees that includes a cafeteria plan offering employer paid medical, dental and vision care, 12 paid holidays per year, vacation accruals beginning with 10 days per year and increasing at stages with years of service, and 12 sick days accrued per year.

All probationary and regular employees are also enrolled in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), a defined benefit pension plan. CCWA also provides a matching contribution to 457(b) retirement plans.  CCWA does not participate in full social security, but does participate in Medicare.
